Curriculum & Affiliation
SNIS offers a balanced and relevant education by incorporating both national and international standards. Students will be offered CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) and CIE (Cambridge International examinations) affiliated programs to ensure an advantageous learning position, from both national and global realms.
Apart from a full-fledged curriculum, we also believe in the philosophy of real-world learning by creating scenarios where pupils can take decisions and solve practical problems. Overall, SNIS ensures that its students grow up to be responsible global citizens with well-informed opinions and a thriving self-esteem.
The Primary Years Programme (PYP):
Shaping Future Leaders
The Primary Years Programme (PYP), developed by the International Baccalaureate (IB), is an innovative educational framework designed for children aged 3 to 12. This program aims to nurture young learners into compassionate, active participants and install a passion for life-long learning in them.
The PYP is built on an inquiry-based, transdisciplinary curriculum that encourages students to explore and understand the world around them. This approach emphasizes the development of conceptual understanding, which goes beyond rote memorization to foster critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
1. Student-Centered Learning: The PYP places students at the center of the learning process, empowering them to take ownership of their education. This approach nurtures their natural curiosity and encourages them to ask questions and seek answers.
2. Holistic Development: The PYP focuses on the development of the whole child, including their intellectual, emotional, and physical well-being. It aims to create balanced individuals who are not only knowledgeable but also compassionate and reflective.
3. International Mindedness: One of the core goals of the PYP is to develop students who are globally aware and culturally sensitive. This is achieved through a curriculum that encourages respect for diversity and an understanding of different perspectives.
