Choosing between CBSE and ICSE in Hyderabad starts with the child's grade, the school's teaching and the family's plans. Compare the current syllabus, subject options, language requirements, assessment and transfer conditions. Broad claims that one board is always easier, better for every child or a guarantee of admission elsewhere are not a sound basis for choosing a school.
What do CBSE and ICSE refer to?
CBSE is the Central Board of Secondary Education. ICSE is the Class X examination conducted by the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE); ISC is its Class XII examination. Parents should check the current requirements and the exact school affiliation directly with the relevant board.

What should a parent compare?

Is one board better for competitive exams or university?
Check the published requirements of the exam or institution the child may eventually apply to. Do not assume the school board alone determines eligibility or success. Teaching, subject selection, preparation and the child's interests all need attention, and future requirements may change.
Are ICSE fees always higher than CBSE fees?
There is no single fee schedule that applies to all schools of either board. Compare current written quotes for the same grade and year, including the services and extra charges that matter to your family.
Where does SNIS fit?
